This year Youngblood, Tyler & Associates, P.C. celebrates its 40th anniversary as a leading consulting civil engineering firm in central Virginia.
Opening in January 1971 as Bremner, Youngblood and Sharp, the company strives to provide excellent engineering service to all clients. In 1976, the firm became Bremner, Youngblood and King, and in 1981, became Youngblood, Tyler & Associates, P.C. with Webb L. Tyler, P.E. joining Richard H. Youngblood, Jr. as a principal.
Youngblood, Tyler & Associates offers civil engineering services from concept through completion for residential, office, industrial and commercial projects. Our talented staff has worked on numerous “Planned Communities” throughout the Richmond area, including Wyndham, Wellesley and Charter Colony, and we are experienced in the coordination of bringing together the many aspects associated with such designs. This talent has been rewarded by receiving the “Best Planned Community of the Year” in 1992 and the “Best Planned Community Under 100 Lots in Richmond” in 2001.
We have professional engineers licensed in Virginia and North Carolina who have experience assisting our clients with drainage systems and flood studies, engineering reports, public water systems, road and highway design, sanitary sewers as well as subdivision design. Youngblood, Tyler & Associates partners with our clients in all phases of development during a project, from land purchasing, rezoning and on-site consulting to dealing with attorneys, working with adjacent property owners and securing government approvals. We will also perform a feasibility study and preliminary site design prior to land purchase to determine if a site is suitable for the client’s purpose.
Our Survey Department provides surveying for all residential and commercial needs with Land Surveyors licensed in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. Our survey work includes everything from a small job to locate property lines for a homeowner to a 2,000-acre boundary survey. Our services include boundary and control surveys, construction surveys and stakings, mortgage surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys and GPS Machine Control (3-D Modeling).
Although the name has changed over the years, the expert service provided by our firm has remained a constant. Our current principals have a combined 85 years experience, not just in the engineering field, but also as a part of the Youngblood, Tyler & Associates team. We are dedicated to the highest principles and practices of civil engineering, land surveying, site development and land planning.
